Welcome!

New Year’s resolutions….AGGGGGGG! I once heard a speaker who said, “don’t call them resolutions but rather revolutions.” Definition time! Resolution means to make a decision to do something ,whereas a revolution requires a change in ideas or practices. So this week many decisions are being made. How many of us change our practice? If you are one of the few to ever keep a resolution you know it took more than a decision. It took goal setting, an action plan, hard work, discipline, and perseverance. A revolution took place!

My New Year’s resolution is to …I mean my revolution is …to start, maintain, and develop the instructional technology blog that I first thought of creating in March of 2007. No more procrastinating! My goal for this blog is to pass on a “bit-of-honey”; tiny tidbits of technology knowledge that will sweeten your already tasty instruction! We are all BUSY BEES, and this year offers the same. I want to approach professional development differently in ‘08 and blogging is one form of this new approach. Viva la Revolution! I want to keep my audience in mind, so I have issued some self-imposed rules…promises to you the reader.

I will…

keep each post under 250 words.

convey information in a variety of ways.

post on a weekly basis.

Answer to your question – No, I’m not a blogger. Not even sure of all the things you are talking about in your blog but looking forward to all the new tips and ideas.

Karla,
I don’t know much about blogs either, but looks good and I like that you’re going to keep it short and sweet so I can read amongst all the other emails sent. Thanks ahead of time for any tips and advice.

Yo go girl. This all fits in with the professional playground of the future. It’s too late to be the Kathy Schrock of the Internet Resources, but not too late to be a good representative of instructional technology in Botetourt County.

Hey Karla!

I just found your blog. Great job! I made the same goal for myself to post weekly and I’ve already missed the last 2 weeks. But, I uploaded 4 posts yesterday, so I’m thinking it all averages out! Good to see you at the summit last week. Have a great day!
